What is Digital Transformation?
According to different business leaders, Digital Transformation can be explained in one sentence. It is merely the integration of digital technology of different business units resulting in valuable changes to keep relevant. However, there are other leaders in the industry who will say that Digital Transformation is the rapid adoption of technology or as they would simply call it “Disruptive Technology”. A good example for this would be Uber or Airbnb. It has helped change the way people do things and has been integrated into everyone’s lives. Because of this other tech giants and companies have already “gone digital” to meet the growing demands of their customers and consumers.
As Executive headhunters, we always have two main customers: Candidates and Clients. With that said, it’s our main task to stay in check and to keep up with the latest trends. Recent studies have shown that the Philippines alone, the majority of its population spends a quite large amount of time on the internet and is very mobile-driven. With this, it is safe to assume that majority of the candidates you will find now are online. Digital transformation now gives the power of candidates to move freely, search for more available jobs and of course connect with different individuals. Clients can take advantage of this as well to strengthen their online branding.
It now becomes a fun challenge on how we can capitalize on social and digital in terms of our direction in sourcing and tapping different candidates. Tools such as LinkedIn and other online job portals empower us to search for candidates with just a few taps on our mobile phone. We can now source for candidates while waiting for your favorite cup of coffee or while you are stuck in traffic. Given that we are a very mobile-driven country, the response time from both clients and candidates is faster. There are also tools wherein you can now tell if the candidate is online or even know if they are actively looking for new opportunities by simply viewing their profile page.
Knowing that the presence of digital transformation is now getting stronger we should be able to embrace this pace of change to help have that sustainable advantage and to always keep innovating.
