Job description

• Follows and enforces adherence of departments to all rules and regulations of all applicable government agencies and accrediting bodies
• Ensures safety and protection of confidentiality of patient information and results at all times
• Ensures that all departments operate within allocated budget
• Implements appropriate tracking systems for all KPI targets, and report on these measures as requested
• Prepares, executes, and monitors departmental operating budget to ensure appropriate staffing, professional development, space, supplies, and all equipment necessary for maintaining and improving the quality of services provided to patients and stakeholders
• Attains outlined volume projection and revenue goals for revenue generating departments
• Identifies new revenue streams as needed to ensure attainment of strategic organizational goals
• Develops and implements initiatives, processes, and creates goals that align with the hospital’s strategies and initiatives
• Develops and coordinates services that support the care that physicians provide to patients
• Assists in creation a long-term strategic plan for Ancillary Services
• Connects to research, industry, and technological advances in healthcare in order to ensure that the hospital remains on the cutting-edge of patient care
• Develops strategic plans to ensure volume goals are met in each department
• Directs and ensures process and performance improvement initiatives are happening on a continual basis with Ancillary Service departments
• Participates in process improvement and development of action plans to improve patient care processes
• Identifies, reviews, and prioritizes opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Ancillary Service departments
• Monitors relevant outcomes and provides suggestion for process change to ensure that the departments are providing services at a level that is appropriate for all stakeholders
• Participates actively in decision-making committees whose activities result in performance improvements
• Builds for the leadership development, identification of opportunities for improvement, and growth of leaders
• Promotes actively employee engagement, teamwork, patient satisfaction, and a culture of safety for employees and patients
• Develops and maintains a highly engaged workforce
• Provides daily support for department operations
• Ensures the maintenance of appropriate levels and quality of staff in each department
• Creates a culture and environment of safety, open communication, high performance, customer service, and innovation for employees
• Involves actively in seeking out the input, needs and concerns of staff, physicians, and leadership attainment of departmental and organizational goals and initiatives
• Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or business related program, preferably with Master’s Degree in Business Administration – Health Program
• At least 7 years of consolidated background in Ancillary Services in a similar health industry
