Job description

As a Controller, you will be an integral part of the Global Finance team, and will be responsible for managing the daily financial needs of one of the fast growing fintech companies in Southeast Asia. In addition, you will be overseeing multiple entities, creating metrics and performing analysis to support strategic business decisions. This role is based in Manila, Philippines and will be responsible for supporting the senior leaders within the organization.

Successful candidates will be able to communicate effectively and influence at a leadership level, in addition to managing key finance deliverables and leading a team of accountants. You will leverage your work experience to drive planning/reporting of finance functions, as well as identify improvement and prioritization opportunities within these business areas. You will also manage risk and opportunity guidance, and facilitate financial review meetings with the various business groups.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have;

● A CPA License with at least 8 years of experience including experience from Big 4 accounting firm
● Prior experience as a controller in a MNC organization
● Minimum 2 years experience in demonstrating leadership capabilities
● Experience in a financial institution preferred
● Experience working with various financial reporting systems
● Solid knowledge of financial statements, financial data analysis, and IFRS
● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to summarize and
present financial data and recommendations to all levels of management in a clear,
concise, and effective manner to support decision making processes at all levels.
● Solid organizational and project management skills, including ability to define tasks and
milestones, identify resources, project timelines and costs, oversee completion of project
tasks, and manage project team meetings.
● Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment while managing multiple
priorities and shifting deadlines
● Ability to influence cross-functional teams to accomplish set goals
● Strong initiative and assertiveness
