Job description

The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Corporate FP&A team and will be involved in the development of financial planning, reporting, and analysis related to current operations. The role will also support the organization’s financial and KPI reporting and forecasting processes, applying business acumen and analytics to support the achievement of strategic goals.

Success in this role requires the ability to effectively work cross-functionally with internal partners, and a high degree of comfort and professional capability to work closely with senior finance leaders providing meaningful insights to business drivers and trends.

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for:

1. Supporting the month-end close and reporting process by:
-Uploading key performance indicator metrics on a timely basis to our online reporting software;
-Uploading key financial metrics in our financial reporting system (bookings, backlog, stat accounts);
-Supporting the core FP&A team as needed on an ad-hoc basis; and
-Helping complete and load key financial forms required by the parent company monthly.
2. Becoming an expert in the Daily Sales Report and associated data. Responsible for issuing the Daily sales report to the executive leadership team, and over time improving, streamlining, and automating the reporting.
3. Supporting the administration, maintenance, and improvement of the company's financial reports to ensure data accuracy and integrity, including:
-Updating and preparing monthly and quarterly reports used for monthly variance analysis, and quarterly forecasting;
-Actively managing and improving sales and order reports for the company's leadership, including maintaining sales projections, analyzing open orders, identifying errors, and identifying trends in product family and regional reporting;
-Actively identifying process improvement opportunities to drive incremental gains in corporate finance processes;
-Proactively improving and streamlining reporting processes while improving the quality of financial reports;
-Proactively standardizing reporting methodologies; and
-Interface with HR to lead monthly headcount updating and reporting, including ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
4. Handling significant project-based work, particularly on financial processes and process improvements, this includes developing financial reporting binders (dictionaries for various reporting tools), mapping data flow, helping the core FP&A team create process documentation.
5. Becoming an expert in Hyperion, the financial reporting tool. Over time becoming the go-to support for the finance organization for all questions related to the said reporting tool, including implementing improvements to budgeting processes, monthly reporting, and ad-hoc analytics.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have experience in annual and multi-year planning processes; multi-national company experience; knowledge of manufacturing financial operations. He or she should also have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Having experience using VBA/Macros, Hyperion, and Oracle is preferred.

-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer science, and/or Economics
-1 to 3 years of experience in financial planning, and analysis (FP&A), or similar function.
-Advanced financial modeling skills to develop analysis for various business scenarios using Excel; VBA/Macros experience is a plus
-Ability to effectively work with large sets of data
-Excellent computer skills to utilize technology and systems to streamline financial reporting processes
